About Mister Roboto

Hi, I’m Mark Joseph — also known as Mister Roboto.
I’m a digital artist inspired by the bold colors, music, fashion, and pop-culture energy of the 80s and 90s. My work blends retro nostalgia with a modern twist, shaped by my years as a B-boy and my time in the Pacific Northwest rave scene. I’m driven by visual design, interior design, fashion, and—most of all—the music that defined those decades.

I started studying multimedia design during the pandemic, spending long days in front of my computer — which is how the name “Mister Roboto” stuck. Art became my way to channel the memories, moods, and visuals that shaped my childhood. It became the creative outlet that helped me navigate the pandemic.

Nostalgia comes in many forms — a song, a scent, a moment — but for me, it has always been visual and musical. Being a latch-key kid in the 80s and 90s felt magical: no internet, no restrictions, just creativity, exploration, imagination, and older Gen-X siblings who fed our love for pop culture. Everything I create today is rooted in those memories, from the movies and album covers I grew up with to the music my older brother introduced me to.

My art is made for Gen X’ers, Xennials, Elder Millennials, and the younger generations who feel anemoia — a longing for an era they never lived.

Thanks for visiting — your support keeps the nostalgia alive. I hope my work brings a little joy and a lot of memories to your world.
